Petronas LNG, a subsidiary of Malaysian state-owned oil and gas company Petronas, has sold 50 per cent of its stake in Dragon LNG Terminal located in Wales, UK, to British infrastructure investor manager Ancala Partners. The remaining 50 per cent is owned by Shell. However, Petronas will retain its regasification capacity in the terminal, where it will regasify LNG imported from Qatar under a five-year agreement until 2024. The company operates two LNG terminals in Malaysia, the Meraka floating storage and regasification unit and the Pengerang onshore regasification terminal. It also owns a majority stake in the Bintulu liquefaction plant in Malaysia and minority stakes in the Gladstone LNG plant in Australia and Idku LNG plant in Egypt along with 25 per cent stake in a Shell-led LNG project in Canada.
