Petronas Carigali, the E&P arm of Petroliam Nasional Berhad, has extended its contract with Denmark-based oil and shipping group A.P. Moeller-Maersk to use the latter’s jack-up rig, by one year until November 2014. The renewed contract is valued at about RM 172 million. As part of the drilling campaign at offshore Malaysia, the rig is expected to do high pressure and high temperature drilling, as well as under-balance drilling. Petronas Carigali has been using the rig since 2011.
