PC Oman Ventures Limited (PCOVL), a subsidiary of Malaysia’s state-run oil and gas company Petronas, has acquired a 10 per cent stake in Block 61 of Oman’s Al Khazzan gas field of Makarim Gas Development LLC (a subsidiary of Oman Oil Company Exploration and Production LLC). At present, BP Exploration (Epsilon) Limited is the operator of the block and holds a 60 per cent stake in it; PCOVL holds a 10 per cent stake and Makarim Gas Development holds a 30 per cent stake.
