Pertamina, a State-owned oil and gas firm, has announced plans to develop bioenergy-based fuels by utilising existing natural resources like sugarcane, corn, cassava, and sorghum in Indonesia. 

Moreover, Pertamina will follow B20 Bali and India recommendations. The first recommendation is to focus on sustainable energy which includes new and renewable energy (NRE). Meanwhile, the second recommendation is to focus on a fair and affordable energy transition. The third recommendation is to focus on access to clean, modern, and affordable energy. 

Pertamina targets to achieve Net Zero Emission by 2060.
