PT Pertamina has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Hyundai Motor Asia Pacific HQ to advance the hydrogen ecosystem in Indonesia. This collaboration is a key part of Pertamina’s efforts to support the country’s energy transition and align with its Net Zero Emissions (NZE) goal by 2060.
Pertamina has identified 17 potential hydrogen production sites across the country, with a green hydrogen project already in progress at the Ulubelu geothermal site in Lampung province, aiming for a production capacity of 100 kg per day. Additionally, Pertamina is developing Indonesia’s first integrated energy refuelling station in Daan Mogot, West Jakarta, which will offer fuel oil, natural gas, and hydrogen in one location.
