PBJV Group Sendirian Berhad, in a consortium with CPM Construction Sendirian Berhad, has bagged the procurement, construction, and commissioning contract for the Pengerang pipeline. This pipeline will extend from Kerteh to the border of the Malaysia–Thailand joint development area. Worth RM 260.8 million, the contract, which became effective on April 21, 2014, will last for a 26-month period. Work on the pipeline has already begun; it is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2016. Under the contract, the PBJV Group will bear 50 per cent of liabilities and obligations and take 50 per cent of the profits generated.
