The longest elevated railway, located at the Joglo intersection in Solo, Central Java in Indonesia will commence passenger operations in November 2024. Before the official launch, a weight test will be conducted in October 2024 in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing to ensure the railway’s safety and feasibility.

The project, which costs approximately IDR1.2 trillion, features a 1.8-km-long elevated track designed to alleviate traffic congestion in the area, particularly at the Joglo intersection. The elevated railway aims to reduce delays caused by trains at level crossings, where traffic can be stalled for up to 30 minutes. Additionally, the design incorporates elements of Solo’s cultural heritage, such as Sidomukti batik and features from the Klewer Market and the royal palace.
