Digital Nasional Bhd (DNB), Ericsson, and eMooVit Technology have partnered to enhance the autonomous bus experience in Malaysia with 5G technology.
This collaboration, formalised through a memorandum of Understanding (MoU), is testing various 5G-enabled features on an electric autonomous bus, such as in-vehicle public Wi-Fi, real-time remote monitoring, and journey log collection. Future trials will explore integrating the bus with smart city infrastructure and remote 5G-enabled emergency driving. The initiative supports Malaysia’s digital transformation, aiming to improve traffic flow, passenger safety, and operational efficiency.
