AG&P Industrial has partnered with Visayas Neceboley Interlink Holdings Corporation (VNIHC) to develop a USD15 billion infrastructure project in the Visayas region in the Philippines. The 238.05 km-long project is named Neceboley and aims to connect Negros, Cebu, Bohol, and Leyte through four-lane all-weather bridges and expressways. Under the partnership, AG&P Industrial will oversee project management, construction, and delivery. Engineering and pre-construction activities are slated to commence in the second quarter of 2024.
The project will receive backing from a private consortium of global partners, responsible for financing, designing, constructing, operating, and maintaining the bridges, roads, and mass transit network.
Additionally, the consortium will undertake the construction of pipes, ducts, and landing stations to facilitate the installation of high-voltage power transmission cables for the national electric grid, high-capacity industrial-grade water pipes, and multiple-core fibre optic telecommunication cables.
The project’s revenue streams will also include income generated from reclamation development, water supply services, power wheeling charges, telecommunications services, mass transit operations, and real estate development.
