Berde Renewables has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Holcim Philippines to develop solar rooftop projects at two Holcim plants, located in Bulacan and La Union.
As per the agreement, Berde Renewables will build, operate, and maintain these rooftop solar facilities, which will have a combined capacity of 5.5 MWp and will generate 7.8 GWh of electricity annually.
The facilities are expected to commence operations in 2024 and are projected to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 5,500 tCo2e annually. This initiative is in line with Holcim’s goal to decrease Scope 2 emissions by 65 per cent by 2030.
