UVCell Solar and Iozela Data Center have partnered to develop two major projects in Malaysia. A sustainable data center will be constructed in Penang, while Pahang will host a renewable energy hub. These initiatives aim to align with Malaysia’s environmental goals and strengthen its position as a hub for green innovation.
The Penang data centre will integrate sustainability features, including a green plantation farm, staff accommodations, and ESG-focused facilities. It will enhance Malaysia’s digital infrastructure while reducing its carbon footprint. Meanwhile, the Pahang renewable energy hub will utilize solar and biomass technologies to generate 300-500MW of clean energy, powering the data centre and surrounding infrastructure. This development will reduce dependence on traditional energy sources and support Malaysia’s zero-carbon goals. The collaboration will involve global partners from Japan, China, the U.S., and Singapore, ensuring cutting-edge technology.
