Lihangin Wind Energy Corporation (LWEC), a joint venture (JV) by Aboitiz Renewables, Vivant Energy, and Vena Energy, is investing over PHP2 billion to connect the San Isidro Wind Power Project (SIWPP) to the Visayas grid. The 206.25 MW wind farm in Northern Samar includes wind turbines, substations, and a 53.2 km transmission line for interim grid access, with a final 14 km line planned to link to NGCP’s San Isidro substation.

Construction starts this month, with operations targeted for February 2026. The project aims to address the growing power demand in the Visayas region.
