The Transport Ministry of Malaysia has announced plans to make park-and-ride services a priority to complement the Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link, which will commence operations in 2027. Complementary public transport facilities between Johor and Singapore will also be considered.

Additionally, the Johor Public Transport Authority (JPAJ) has also been asked to provide feeder bus services to transfer commuters between park-and-ride locations and the RTS station.

The 4-km-long RTS Link will move 10,000 passengers per hour in each direction between Bukit Chagar, Malaysia and Woodlands North, Singapore. The line will be operational by the end of 2026.
