Pacifico Energy Vietnam has secured a sea survey licence for the 1,300 MW Nam Trung Bo 3 offshore wind project in Lam Dong Province. The project is included in Vietnam’s Adjusted Power Development Plan VIII, with commercial operations targeted between 2031 and 2035. The licence permits technical and environmental studies across the approved offshore area.
Pacifico Energy will conduct desktop assessments before beginning field surveys in 2027, covering geotechnical and geophysical conditions, wind measurements, meteorological and oceanographic data and environmental baselines. The approval follows a February 2026 sea survey licence for the company’s 500 MW Nam Bo PE2.1 offshore wind project in Ho Chi Minh City, taking its Vietnam offshore wind pipeline to 1.8 GW.
