The Nusantara Authority has fully relocated its staff to the new capital in East Kalimantan, ending frequent travel between Nusantara and Jakarta in Indonesia.

With the relocation complete, all official engagements will now take place in Nusantara. The President is set to transfer his office to Nusantara on August 17, 2028, marking the city’s official status as the capital. However, the full transition remains incomplete pending the construction of parliament and judiciary buildings. Jakarta will continue to serve as the country’s financial and business hub.
