Mr Jamaludin Ibrahim has been appointed as the new non-executive director at NEXTDC Limited, effective 1 November 2025. He brings over 40 years of executive experience in IT and telecommunications, including 27 years as a CEO, and has held multiple non-executive roles across technology, aviation, transportation, and fast food sectors.
Mr Jamaludin has served on corporate boards in Malaysia and internationally, covering public-listed companies, private enterprises, and government-linked bodies. His current roles include Chairman of QSR Brands (ASEAN), Chairman of AirAsia Aviation Group Ltd, and Board Member of SEEK Ltd (Australia). Previously, he served as Chairman of Prasarana Malaysia Berhad, and held executive leadership roles at Axiata Group, Maxis Communications, DEC Malaysia, and IBM Malaysia. He also served the Malaysian government as a member of the Economic Action Council and Digital Economy Council, and is Pro-Chancellor at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
He holds an MBA in Operations Research & Quantitative Methods from Portland State University (US) and a BSc in Business Administration with a minor in Mathematics from California State University, Chico. His industry contributions have been recognised with the GSMA Chairmans Award (2015) and an Honorary Doctorate in Management from Universiti Sains Malaysia (2024).
