Singapore-based Nexif Ratch Energy has moved closer to developing its 102-MW Nexif Energy Khanh Hoa 1 wind power project in Khanh Hoa province, central Vietnam, after the project was added to a list of land plots to be auctioned for investor selection.
The project is planned across approximately 35.6 hectares in Ba Ngoi ward, Dong Khanh Son commune and Cam An commune. It is expected to generate around 312,500 MWh annually for supply to Vietnam’s national power grid, with an estimated investment of VND3.2 trillion (USD122.73 million).
Nexif Ratch Energy signed a memorandum of understanding with the provincial authorities in 2024 to support research, surveys and exploration of investment opportunities for the project.
The Khanh Hoa People’s Council has approved a list covering eight wind and solar projects, with a combined planned capacity of nearly 822 MW, for land auctions aimed at selecting investors. The Nexif project is one of four wind projects included on the list.
Nexif Ratch Energy, established in 2022 as a joint venture between Singapore’s Nexif Energy and Thailand’s Ratch Group, is also developing other renewable energy projects in Vietnam, including a 143 MW wind power plant in Gia Lai province and the 80-MW Nexif Energy Ben Tre wind power plant.
