The Ministry of Transport (MOT) plans to add three new contraflow roads in Kuala Lumpur to ease traffic congestion in Malaysia’s capital city. These include the 2.4-km-long section between Sungai Besi toll to the Sungai Besi Expressway junction, a 4-km-long road from Jalan Maharajalela to Taman Connaught as well as a public transport exclusive lane from Ampang Point to Jalan Tun Razak.
The roads will open to passenger traffic starting July 2023.
