The world’s first international hydrogen supply chain between Brunei Darussalam and Japan has reached a milestone after successful extraction of H2 from a liquid organic hydrogen carrier shipped from Brunei. The demonstration project is operated by the Advanced Hydrogen Energy Chain Association for Technology Development led by the Japanese consortium of Mitsubishi, Nippon Yusen, Mitsui and Chiyoda Corporation. The demonstration project to establish hydrogen society/technology development for the utilisation of large-scale hydrogen energy is funded by the National Research and Development Agency. It is in line with the nation’s goal to advance the long-term green energy programme of the nation.
