Singapore’s Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation (OCBC) has appointed Na Wu Beng as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the newly acquired Wing Hang Bank of Hong Kong. Beng started his career at OCBC as General Manager of the bank’s Hong Kong branches. He then took on various roles such as Head of North Asia and Deputy President Director of the Bank of OCBC NISP, OCBC’s Indonesian subsidiary. He was appointed as Executive Vice-President of OCBC in 2001. Prior to joining OCBC, he held the position of General Manager of the Taipei branch of the International Bank of Singapore, which was later merged into Singapore’s United Overseas Bank. The new appointment came into effect on August 1, 2014.
