Philippine Manufacturing Company of Murata Incorporation (PMM) has extended its renewable energy (RE) deal with First Gen Corporation for its facility in the Philippines. PMM aims for all its sites to use 100 per cent RE by 2050.
PMM operates its largest manufacturing site in Batangas, specialising in electronic components. The renewed deal ensures PMM’s power comes from a geothermal facility. PMM’s Batangas facility has used 100 per cent RE since 2022. Pi Energy Incorporation, a unit of First Gen ensures uninterrupted power for PMM’s operations. First Gen’s power plants focus on renewable sources, contributing to lower emissions.
