The Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) has issued a call for proposal (CFP) to develop, commission, maintain, and operate electric harbour craft (e-HC) charging points across Singapore. The charging stations will be installed at the Jurong Port, Marina South Pier, Pasir Panjang Ferry Terminal, PSA Marine – West Coast Base, and Sebarok Terminal.

Interest parties have until October 6, 2023 to submit their proposals.

The qualifying proposals will be implemented under a two-year-long pilot, with an option for a 12 month extension. During this period,MPA along with the port operators will  evaluate the implemented charging technologies and gather information about supporting infrastructure and power requirements.

MPA will gradually roll out the e-HC charging infrastructure starting 2025. This development is key in transitioning all harbour crafts in Singapore to 100 per cent electric by 2050.
