Singapore-based Miclyn Express Offshore (Miclyn) has secured contracts to supply vessels to a gas field in the Malaysia Thailand Joint Development Area (MTJDA). The Miclyn Emperor and Miclyn Empress, both built in 2008, will serve as supply ships to the field until 2024 and 2023, respectively. The deal was secured through a local joint venture (JV). Financial information regarding the contract has not been released.
Under the terms of the contract, Miclyn will provide towing and anchoring services, freight transportation to and from supply bases to offshore areas, and support extraction or drilling operations. The vessels will also provide lodging for project staff, as well as assist in the supply and inter-platform transport of personnel, materials, and consumables.
