Meralco PowerGen Corporation (MGEN) received multiple accolades at the 2025 Asian Power Awards, highlighting its leadership in the Philippines and the wider region.
Under Rubio’s leadership, MGEN has expanded its renewable energy portfolio, advancing projects such as the MTerra Solar facility—the Philippines’ first integrated solar PV and battery energy storage system—and the country’s first integrated LNG complex in Batangas.
MGEN’s Singapore-based subsidiary, PacificLight Power Pte Ltd (PLP), was also recognised with Fast-Track Power Plant of the Year (Gold) and Power Plant Upgrade of the Year – Singapore for its 100 MW Fast Start Services and Asia’s first ATEP upgrade. These honours reinforce MGEN’s regional leadership in advancing sustainable, resilient, and inclusive energy solutions.
