Manila Electric Company (MERALCO) has completed the expansion of its 115 kV Malinta substation in Valenzuela City, Philippines. Under this, PHP170.81 million was invested to replace the substation’s conventional single-bus switchyard with modern indoor-type gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) with a double-bus configuration.
The substation will help limit the incidents of scheduled and long power outages in Malabon City.
