MedcoEnergi has obtained government approval to extend the production period of the Bualuang Oil Field (Block B8/38) in the Gulf of Thailand until October 23, 2035. The extension allows the company to continue operations for another decade, reinforcing its long-term presence in the Thai energy sector.
The company plans to maximize output and asset value through facility debottlenecking, workovers, development drilling, and near-field exploration. MedcoEnergi highlighted that the extension supports its strategy for sustainable growth while strengthening its role as a leading regional energy player.
