Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication and Information Technology has initiated spectrum refarming of the 800 MHz and 900 MHz bands. The process began on January 23, 2019 and will affect only two incumbent operators of the country, Telekomunikasi Selular and Indosat Ooredoo. This is in contrast with the rearrangement of the 2.1 GHz band, which was concluded in April 2018, and involved three operators.
