The Philippines’ west zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services was recognised for its Sustainability Reporting Excellence at the 2015 Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards (ASRA). The company won in two categories – Best Stakeholder Reporting and Best Environmental Reporting.

The Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards recognise best practices in sustainability reporting and communications and honour sustainability reporting leaders in Asia. Its inaugural year has drawn 180 entries from companies in Hong Kong, China, Japan, India, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, the Middle East, Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines.

Maynilad is the largest private water concessionaire in the Philippines in terms of customer base. It is the agent and contractor of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System for the west zone of the Greater Manila area, which is composed of the cities of Manila, Quezon City, Makati, Caloocan, Pasay, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa, Valenzuela, Navotas and Malabon all in Metro Manila, and the cities of Cavite, Bacoor and Imus, and the towns of Kawit, Noveleta and Rosario, all in Cavite province.
