The governors of Bulacan, Pampanga, and Bataan have appealed to the Office of the President to initiate the Manila Bay Integrated Flood Control, Coastal Defense, and Expressway Project in the Philippines. The multipurpose coastal road dike will be linked to the planned Bataan–Cavite Interlink Bridge, aiming to ease traffic congestion, mitigate flooding, and improve access to economic development zones in Central Luzon.
The national government should act before the end of his term, emphasising that the project could provide long-awaited relief from decades of recurrent flooding affecting residents of Manila Bay provinces.
