Malaysia’s Energy Commission (EC) has announced the shortlisted bidders, in the fourth round of its large-scale solar (LSS) programme, for one GW of solar projects.

The EC has pre-selected 30 bidders in two categories with a total of 823 MW of generating capacity. The first category includes projects in the 10MW to 30MW category and the second category includes projects with capacities between 30MW and 50MW.

The first category includes 20 projects and has a total shortlisted capacity of 323.06 MW. The submitted bids for this category ranged from MYR0.1850 per kWh to MYR 0.2481 per kWh. The second category includes 10 projects with a total proposed capacity of 500MW. The submitted bids for this category ranged from MYR 0.1768 per kWh to MYR 0.1970 per kWh.
