Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, NUR Power Sdn Bhd, and JS Solar Sdn Bhd have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop the first smart and green industrial park in Kulim Hi-Tech Park (KHTP), Malaysia. This collaboration aims to establish a Green and Smart Energy Transition Roadmap for KHTP.

The three companies will take up various initiatives such as integrating advanced solar smart photovoltaic (PV) technology, implementing battery energy storage solutions (BESS), and establishing electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. These efforts will enhance energy generation efficiency, increase electric mobility and ensure grid stability in the state.

Additionally, the joint research studies on integrating grid-forming solutions into KHTP’s utility grid are also part of the partnership which will focus on exploring smart solar PV inverters and low-voltage ride-through solutions for the grid.
