Malaysia Aviation Group Bhd (MAGB) will focus on executing the Long Term Business Plan 2.0 (LTBP 2.0) and will not call for a merger at this point.

According to LTBP 2.0, MAGB will aim to scale its services to become Asia’s leading aviation company while raising profitability from 2022. The plan was implemented in 2021 and will the focus on turning around losses in aviation services, recapturing the lost domestic and international markets, diversifying revenue streams and digitising its business operations.

For the plan to be successful, MAGB aims to restart air travel and promote industry recovery and is working closely with the government and other stakeholders. For recovery, overcapacity issues in aviation needs to be addressed. However according to Malaysian Aviation Commission (Mavcom), there are no plans to stop or slow down granting of air service permit (ASP) applications or air service licence (ASL)
