The Malampaya Phase 4 (MP4) project in the Palawan offshore region is progressing with major subsea installation milestones in the Philippines.

Subsea pipelaying and offshore construction activities are underway, including the installation of flowlines connecting newly drilled wells, Malampaya East-1 and Camago-3, to the existing production system. A key milestone includes the placement of a Flowline End Terminal (FLET) at a depth of 690 metres, enabling integration between subsea pipelines and production facilities.

Offshore vessels have completed installation of critical infrastructure such as flowlines, foundations and protective systems, while advanced engineering works have enabled pile installation at depths of up to 1,100 metres. These developments mark the first deepwater pipeline installation in the Philippines since 2000.

The project follows successful drilling under Service Contract 38 and aims to bring newly discovered gas resources into production. Upcoming works include installation of umbilicals and commissioning activities such as pressure testing and system integration.

MP4 is on track to deliver first gas by the fourth quarter of 2026 and is expected to extend the operational life of the Malampaya gas field by approximately six years, contributing to the Philippines’ energy security.
