The State Government of Bali is seeking investors to fund a USD20 billion underground railway network in Indonesia. PT Bumi Indah has been appointed as the primary investor for the project, with plans to bring in additional investors.

The project, set to begin in September 2024, will be built in four stages and aims to connect Denpasar with key tourist areas like Seminyak, Canggu, Nusa Dua, Sanur, and Ubud. The initial connections from Denpasar to Canggu and Nusa Dua are expected to be completed by 2031.
