Maersk Line has received a permanent licence to operate its container business activities in Myanmar. The shipping company, along with the AP Moller-Maersk Group, MCC Transport, and Safmarine, plans to establish its agency in Yangon by May 2014. Containerised trade (in Myanmar) has been growing by 17 per cent annually on average from 2007 to 2013.
