Malaysia’s Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3), connecting Shah Alam to surrounding areas, is set to commence operations on September 30, 2025. The Ministry of Transport (MOT) confirmed that the project is 98.16 per cent complete and will be handed over to Prasarana Malaysia Berhad on July 31, 2025.
The final testing phase includes a 75-day Trial Run and Fault Free Run starting in mid-April 2025, overseen by the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD). Following this, a 60-day Trial Operation will begin in July 2025, led by Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd, ensuring safety compliance before full operations launch in September 2025.
