The Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) has completed the deployment of the new Alstom signalling system of the Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) in the Philippines. The new system will ensure faster and more reliable service for commuters.
The new signalling system is deployed along the existing line from Baclaran to Balintawak Station. It will also facilitate the testing, commissioning, and operation of the revenue service of fourth-generation train sets, which are targeted to commence operations in mid-2022.
