LANDBANK was recognised as the overall winner in the recently concluded Sustainable Business Awards [SBA] Philippines 2014. It was adjudged the best amongst 22 companies for its inclusive business models, innovative programmes, and significant contribution in improving the livelihood of local communities.
The award uses a comprehensive framework to assess businesses across 10 categories – strategy and vision, workforce, corporate social responsibility, energy management, water management, waste and materials productivity, climate change, supply chain management, land use, biodiversity and the environment, and business responsibility and ethics. The programme aims to increase awareness and promote adoption of sustainable business best practices.
LANDBANK also won in the SBA’s climate change category for its progressive environmental policies and strong support for climate change mitigation and adaptation projects.
Held for the first time in the country, the SBA was organised by Global Initiatives (Singapore) and PricewaterhouseCoopers, Philippines.
