Ho Chi Minh City’s (HCMC) Management Board of Urban Railways has received a pre-feasibility study from Korean consultants for the HCMC Metro Line 4B-1, which will serve the Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Vietnam. The study will be submitted to the central government in the first quarter of 2017. The feasibility study is expected to be conducted in 2017 and
construction to begin by 2019 for completion in 2024. HCMC plans to build an eight-line network. Line 4B-1 will span 2 km from Hoang Van Thu Park to Tan Son Nhat at an investment of $250 million. It will connect with Line 5, which will further connect with Lines 1, 2 and 3A.
