Passenger services have commenced on the BRT system in Hanoi, Vietnam. The corridor spans 14.7 km from Kim Ma to Yen Nghia, covering 21 stations. A fleet of 29 brand new 90-seater buses will be employed for the BRT service, which will depart every 5 to 15 minutes. The service frequency is 3 to 5 minutes. Magnetic tickets and smart cards are used for fare collection. The $53.6 million BRT project has been funded by the World Bank.
