The Provincial Government of Southern Vietnam’s Kien Giang is calling for over VND226.7 trillion (USD8.7 billion) in private investment for 40 projects spanning infrastructure, marine farming, industry, and tourism. A key focus is Phu Quoc, where 12 projects are tied to the 2027 APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting—including a USD844 million expansion of Phu Quoc International Airport and a USD843 million APEC conference centre featuring large-scale convention and press facilities.
The investment list also includes hi-tech marine farming projects, 13 industrial ventures in processing and manufacturing, and infrastructure such as an electric train, roads, and an international seaport. Kien Giang aims to attract investors by improving its business climate, removing project hurdles, and offering incentives. These initiatives are expected to boost economic growth, enhance infrastructure, and improve livelihoods across the province.
