Malaysia-based Kejuruteraan Asastera Bhd (KAB) has signed two 20-year solar power purchase agreements (PPAs) with subsidiaries of Nextgreen Global Bhd, namely Nextgreen Pulp and Paper Sdn Bhd. Under the terms of the agreements, the two companies will construct, operate, and maintain 3,387 kWp worth of rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems at production plants and buildings in Nextgreen’s Green Technology Park in Pahang.
Installation of the panels will be carried out in two phases with the first phase covering 2,507 kWp of the total capacity and phase two covering the remaining 880 kWp. Work is expected to take 9 months to complete from the date of commencement. Renewable energy generated by these solar installations will also be purchased by Nextgreen.
