The JV of Aboitiz Power Corporation and Norway-based Statkraft Norfund Power Invest AS is set to develop several greenfield power projects in the Philippines, which will include two hydropower projects in Luzon in 2014. The first project is a 7 MW facility that will tap the waters of the Maris irrigation canal, operated by state-run National Irrigation Administration. The project, estimated to cost $2.5–3.5 million per MW, is likely to be completed by 2016.
