DP World and Asian Terminals Incorporation (ATI) have completed a USD100 million infrastructure upgrade at Manila South Harbour, a key international trade hub in the Philippines. The enhancements include extending Pier 3 to over 600 meters, expanding yard space for 20,000 TEUs, and installing two ship-to-shore cranes, boosting annual throughput capacity by over 25 percent to nearly two million TEUs.

The improvements aim to accommodate larger vessels and increase operational efficiency. As part of its carbon reduction goals, the terminal also plans to deploy electric and hybrid landside equipment, including yard tractors and gantry cranes, to support more sustainable port operations.
