The Government of Indonesia is planning a trilateral data centre initiative with Singapore and Malaysia, anchored by a cross-border clean power supply under the state utility PLN’s Green Super Grid. The proposed interconnected facilities will be powered by renewable electricity and are intended to support large-scale digital infrastructure growth while enabling wider clean-energy deployment.
The Green Super Grid is designed to provide stable renewable power for the data centre cluster and to support broader electrification and rural development efforts. The initiative forms part of Indonesia’s strategy to position itself as a regional hub for low-carbon data infrastructure, building on ongoing collaborations in the ASEAN power market.
