Reportedly, the Indonesian government is expected to receive a loan of $2 billion-2.5 billion from the newly established Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) soon. The loan will be used to fund up to six infrastructure projects, of which three projects are ready for approval. The loan is part of the total outlay of $10 billion-$15 billion that will be disbursed by AIIB in 2016. The projects to be funded by AIIB include the construction of roads in East and North Kalimantan with an estimated total cost of $250 million; the procurement of railway materials at a cost of $292.37 million; the development of a water supply system worth $50 million; and the improvement of television station transmission at a total cost of $411 million.
