The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) is set to invest up to SGD100 million in enhancing the Nationwide Broadband Network (NBN) in Singapore. By 2028, the network’s speed is expected to increase up to 10 Gbps.

The upgrade of the NBN will commence from mid-2024 to 2026, which will include the deployment of 5G mobile services and faster Wi-Fi networks. The 10G NBN will offer more symmetric end-to-end 10 Gbps connectivity to over 500,000 households across Singapore.
