The International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Ayala Land Incorporation (ALI) have launched a sustainability-linked financing package to support Ayala Land’s green building initiatives in the Philippines. The IFC will invest up to PHP14.5 billion in a sustainability-linked loan (SLL) for Ayala Land. This financing is tied to two key targets: certifying 1.5 million square meters of existing office space with IFC’s EDGE Zero Carbon Certification by the end of 2025, up from 350,000 square meters, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) by 42 per cent across Ayala Land’s commercial real estate portfolio by 2030.

To achieve these goals, Ayala Land plans to implement energy and water-saving measures, including energy-efficient systems and water recycling. This loan is part of a larger sustainability-linked financing program that includes Ayala Land’s first sustainability-linked bond (SLB) in the country.
