Hyundai Motor will deliver 10 County Electric buses to Bali, marking the island’s first deployment of electric buses for public transport. The contract was awarded by the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) on behalf of the Indonesian government following a competitive tender process.
The County Electric model, previously available only in South Korea since its 2020 launch, features a 128 kWh battery offering a range of up to 303 km per charge and can be recharged in 72 minutes via DC fast charging. The minibuses, seating 15–33 passengers, will operate within Bali’s local transport network. The automaker has previously supplied similar buses to Surabaya and collaborated with charging operators to expand Indonesia’s EV infrastructure, including over 400 planned chargers nationwide.
