Malaysia’s Hong Leong Bank (HLB) was honoured with the Excellence in Leadership in Asia 2020 award at the prestigious Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2020 for its response to the Covid-19 pandemic. The award acknowledged HLB for its agility, outstanding forward thinking and commitment in extending support to customers and communities-at-large during the Covid-19 crisis.
The Euromoney Awards for Excellence, established in 1992, are one of the most prestigious awards in the global banking industry. In 2020, Euromoney received almost 1,000 submissions from banks for its regional and country awards programme. A new award category was introduced to honour banks’ swift response to the pandemic.
